In April, the Trans Tasman Travel bubble was launched, making it possible for Australians and Kiwis to travel quarantine-free between the countries. Whether you’re coming over to finally catch up with your loved ones, or just to spoil yourself with a much overdue get-away (you deserve it), the following are a few experiences in New Zealand that will remind you of how beautiful life can be.

From exclusive solo getaways to family and group travel, longer stays, or weekend trips. These unique, luxury experiences are the ultimate celebration of life – without compromising on health and safety.

Welcome, Australia.

Remote travel experiences in New Zealand to disconnect

One thing we’ve had more time for during the pandemic is to reflect. If that’s something you’d like to continue with when you’re able to travel again, New Zealand offers many options.

Disconnecting from everything for a few days to focus on your priorities at the moment – be it work, personal goals, future travel plans, recharging, or just life in general. What better way to realize those goals, than with views and some quality me-time?

From mountain retreats to lush riverside hideaways, an exclusive stay in the countryside, or why not an escape to a Luxury Eco Lodge? These options are some of our favourites that emphasize elements such as environmental responsibility and minimizing negative impact throughout their operations. So kick back and feel good about it, too.

Treat yourself to an exclusive wellness experience

The range of alternatives, the personal service, and the unique locations are a few of many reasons why you should come to New Zealand for a Luxury Wellness Retreat. No matter what type of retreat you’re looking for, you’ll find it here.

From holistic treatments to massage therapies, yoga, thermal pools, detox, meditation, and wellness resorts… Relax, recharge, and enjoy locally produced gourmet cuisine prepared by top-notch chefs. Prioritize your health, boost your creativity, and wellbeing with personal, meditative experiences in serene locations.

Those who like to enjoy the finest in life are traveling here from across the world to experience 5-star treatments with everything you may wish for, and more. For you on the other hand, the many unique options are just a short flight away.

Family activities and group travel to finally catch up

Whether you’re bringing your family and friends, or are coming to New Zealand to finally reunite, Aotearoa has many options to cater to the needs of bigger groups. Think multi-generational accommodations, private villas, activities suitable for different ages and preferences, and more.

Hiking, volcanoes, ski adventures, movie scenes, a relaxing stay far away from everything, city life, or a mix of it all? No matter how varied your group is in terms of preferences and backgrounds, there is always something for each and everyone to explore in New Zealand.

Gastronomy & Wine Experiences

It’s the combination of fresh ingredients, influences from across the world, and the level of innovation, that makes New Zealand a paradise for foodies and wine lovers. Whether your pick will be our Culinary Capital Wellington, Auckland with its cosmopolitan gourmet scene, or why not one of the many charming destinations outside of our bigger cities? Such as the wine paradise Waiheke, which has been described as one of the best island destinations.

New Zealand is filled with must-visit restaurants and wineries. We’ve got more than 7 wine-growing regions, so you have several picturesque and unique escapes to choose from if delicious wine and fine dining are what make your heart sing.

An exclusive active get-away surrounded by nature: From golf to skiing

Diverse landscapes, wild alpine Winterland, remote rivers, turquoise lakes, and sensational glacial valleys, make New Zealand ideal for unforgettable outdoor adventures. It’s also an underrated golf destination, even though it’s home to some of the most unique, challenging, and picturesque fairways. Many of our golf courses come with exclusive resorts onsite, with exceptional facilities for accommodation, dining, and other outdoor activities. The climate makes it a great golf destination across many seasons.

We’re also known for our world-class slopes that attract skiers from all over the world.
The combination of secluded spots, off the beaten track, superb snow conditions, postcard-like landscapes, fine dining options, luxury lodges, and the proximity to other experiences that are completely different, is what makes a luxury ski holiday in New Zealand unique.

Do also expect many other kiwi destinations with nature that best is described as surreal, such as the Bay of Islands, made up of 144 islands and several charming towns, each with its own personality and unique culture.

Enjoy the best New Zealand’s cities have to offer

From authentic Maori culture to beaches, some of our absolute best restaurants, art galleries, exclusive accommodation, Heli tours, and personal experiences, New Zealand has several cities that will spoil you with their endless variation.

Auckland and Christchurch are a few lovely options if you’re in the mood for a city weekend getaway.

Spoil each other on a romantic get-away

What better way to celebrate that you’re able to travel again, than together with that special someone? While the past year might have been filled with too many nights of takeaway from your favourite restaurant, New Zealand is the perfect place for a romantic get-away to spoil each other, catch up on all those cancelled plans, enhance love and intimacy.

These are just a few romantic experiences in New Zealand to inspire that wanderlust.
